• Payment Information: We use Wix Payments or Paypal to process payments. We do not store your credit card information.

• Emergency Contact Information: Name and phone number of designated emergency contacts

We use the information collected to:

• Provide pet care services and ensure the well-being of your pet

• Contact you about bookings, schedule changes, or pet-related concerns

• Process payments and issue invoices

• Send service updates, promotions, or newsletters (only with your consent)

3. How We Obtain Consent

• Explicit Consent for Emails & Texts (CASL Requirement):

  • We will only send marketing emails or promotional texts if you explicitly opt in.

  • You may unsubscribe at any time by clicking the "Unsubscribe" link in our emails or replying “STOP” to texts.

  • You can also choose to 'Opt out' for emails and notifications not directly related to your pet's care in your Time to Pet account. 

•  Implied Consent for Service Communication:

• If you book our services, we may contact you about your appointment or pet’s needs without additional consent.

4. How We Protect Your Data

We take security seriously and have measures in place to protect your personal information, including:

• Encryption & Secure Storage: All client data is stored in [Canadian-compliant pet sitting software or secure database].

• Limited Access: Only authorized employees have access to sensitive client and pet information.

• Data Retention: We only keep personal data as long as necessary to provide services and comply with legal requirements.

5. Third-Party Services & Data Storage

We use third-party services to process payments and manage bookings. These services may store data outside Canada. We ensure they comply with PIPEDA and international privacy laws.

  • Wix Payments, Time to Pet Payments, Paypal – Secure online payments
